Fun Friday Feast

I actually got to enjoy this edition of FFF the same night I made it!  Yeah for having Friday night off!  Boo for having to work on Saturday. I was inspired to make this meal because of all of the cool weather we have had lately (I finally broke out the electric heaters!!).  When I [...]

Talladega – Part Two (The Race & The Motorsports Hall of Fame)

note: Talladega – Part One (Driving & Camping) is here. The Motorsports Hall of Fame I can’t really say too much about the Motorsports Hall of Fame that wouldn’t bore the living poop out of most of my friends. I will say however that a fan of either NASCAR, or racing in general, would have [...]

Fun Friday Feast

It’s getting to be that time of year again.  Time for soup, chili, fires, electric blankets, afternoon movies, and cold weather.  Today’s feast is perfect for the fall- Brian’s Famous Chili. So as not to give away all of his secrets, I am actually posting the recipe for Paula Deen’s Taco Soup.  I have made [...]

Get that thing out of my house!!!

This year we celebrated by going to Talladega last weekend; we got each other “tickets” to the race since according to some sort of anniversary rules, the first year is to be celebrated with [...]

Fun Friday Feasts

We’re back!  It’s been a while since I’ve posted a FFF due to all the recent trips and busy weekends, but I’m finally back.  Unfortunately the recipe this week isn’t too exciting or extravagant,  which is probably what you think about these meals anyways… I wanted to put something together that was quick and simple and [...]

Talladega – Part One (Driving & Camping)

Our super fun trip to Talladega can be broken into four parts: The Long Drive The Camping The Motorsports Hall of Fame The Race The Long Drive The long drive was 1600 miles round trip (~13 hours each way if you don’t encounter traffic/problems). We saw beautiful scenery, tons of McCain supporters, and a lot [...]

Talladega!

We’re ready for it … it’s unavoidable … somewhat undesirable … and completely unavoidable … wait a minute, I just said that. Pictures are coming…

Pliable Charisma Redux

Update! Tonight I made two swinging flag holders (for Tony and Junior of course). These little fuckers sway and spin in the breeze. This definitely raises my Alabama street cred. My Inspiration: Finished Product:
